I don't want answers like "Why would you want to do that?" or "That's a big job...I wouldn't bother." All want to know is whether or not it is possible....and potential roadblocks along the way.

I would assume, that since this model was originally made available with manual transmission as well as automatic, that all you would need is the manual tranny, the extra pedals and hardware, and to possibly cut two new holes--one for the pedals to be put in, and another for the stick shift.

Anyone ever done this kind of thing before, and if so...any advice?

Assuming they did come with a manual tranny, you could do it but it would be a pain.

I think you've got it right-- you'd need all the parts (clutch, pedals, linkage, shifter etc.) You'd have to make sure all the mounting points are there and if not, fabricate and weld them in. You'd also have to cut holes in the floor board.

I wouldn't bother. You want a manual tranny, buy a different car.

Yes, it is possible. It would be so expensive, that you could probably buy a new van. Look in Consumer Reports and check the reliability of the Chrysler Vans before you shuck out any more "clams".

It is possible but it is a custom job that will cost you anywhere from 6000 to 8000 dollars
