on my laptop when i plug something into the s-video conection it doesent do anything, xp wont detect, but i know there is nothing wrong with xp, cause when i plug something in usb socket xp automatically detects, but nothing form s-video slot, what could it be, how can i fix

XP shouldn't detect S-video. If you plug in an S-video cable to the your video card and the other end to your TV, just the signal will be sent there, but XP really won't know it.
