I came off the mini pill for health reasons not connected to the pill. I found it fine to be on, no bad effects or problems. Some women take some trial and error with different pills to find the right one for them. I think they are safer than unwanted pregnacies.

Only you an make that kind of a choice not some lady in Q&A, but I will share a little bit with you even though I am a man, I have a wife and a daughter and worked in the Medical fielf for over 20 years. The name says birth control it isn't always to keep you for having a baby. Often Doctors help to control heavy Menstrual periods and other times it is used to help a woman to gsther enough to allow her to become preg. I understand the irratability. My wife used them and would have continued to use them but was super bitchy. She stopped and she got preg. that was 38 years ago and we had another as well. There are a number of other methods you can use for birth contro but if the Doctor has you on the pill for a reason other than birth control I would suggest that you stop check with your doctor. Others will say just to stop but you know whether it is for control or for another reason Good luck

I loved the birth control pill for me personally. I wish I could go back to it, right now I'm using the coil and well not so fun. It doesn't do anything to the hormones or anything but everything that the birth control pill controlled before is now back like the mood swings, acne and cramps. There are so many different kinds of birth control out there they don't all react the same way.

I detest birth control pills - in fact, when I switched to a different pill I got pre-cancerous cells. I think that they mess with your system. You are supposed to get your period - it cleanses your system. I'm with you. I haven't been on anything for 11 years and I haven't had any problems.

I'm anti-patch because I know they're unsafe.

But, for those of us who need to be on the pill for medical reasons, I have to say I am pro-pill. My body goes wacky without it.

Hormones of any kind are scary. All the people my mother knows who have had breast, ovarian or uterin cancer were all on birth control most of their adult lives. That is enough for me to steer clear.

The worst is those girls who get in bed with a guy who's ready to go, then just jump on him before he puts on a condom saying "oh it's ok, I'm on the pill!" Egads woman! what are you trying to do, kill me?!

Catholics are against that stuff...and frankly I would never take them myself because they are very bad for your body....but I am not anti the stuff because I have no issue with other women taking it
