They aren't being judged on looks or at least shouldn't be. It is a talent contest for singing and the ability to entertain. I think the only reason Sanjaya made it to the top 12 is because of the young girls voting for his looks. He definately doesn't match up to any of the others in singing ability. Sundance was a much better singer and didn't make it into the top 12. People keep voting looks not singing ability. At this point Chris Sligh is the best male singer on the show and he isn't as good as either Lakisha Jones or Melinda Doolittle.
