They are great, but if you can stretch to and afford to run it, get a Turbo with a good service history. I had one of similar vintage and still miss it daily, but changed jobs and the family grew. Reckon on £1000-1200 pa for insurance with full clean no-claims, 25 mpg and £300 for a service which you HAVE to do twice a year regardless of mileage, and don't skimp on decent boots - Bridgestone Potenzas or Goodyear Eagle F1's at £150 a corner. Great fun, and pretty much bulletproof whether you go turbo o not.

Put it this way. if I could put one of the kids on e-bay, I'd have another one in a heartbeat

i don't be attentive to approximately Australia as I even have not seen the numbers yet right here interior the U. S., the 08 Impreza's have been promoting in record numbers because of the fact it particularly is launch. The WRX and STI may well be promoting a splash sluggish with the aid of financial equipment however the STI continues to be promoting in plenty greater numbers than the EVO and that's with them dropping each assessment on television and in magazines. i be attentive to there are some who're no longer happy with the hot layout yet revenues numbers coach it is the minority. i'm happy that Subaru is attaining out to a broader objective audience. The extra automobiles they sell the bugger the aftermarket help gets and then it particularly is extra low priced for me to make my motor vehicle quicker.

if it's a non turbo, it's usually the sport model.. . .

They're not bad cars, but the sport is not exactly quick (in general - not compared to the turbo), and it doesn't look much in standard form unless someone's made it into a wrx /turbo look-a-like - in which case- you're insurance could be as much as it would be to insure the turbo model.
Make sure you HPI it! they're a favourate for being stolen etc.

Get an insurance quote for turbo and non turbo models
Check out the RB5 model - really smart looking 215bhp thereabouts, Insurance group 17, smart interior etc.

They are wonderful cars, a little on the boring side when it comes to the interior. Cheap to run but insurance may be a bit on the high side, get a few quotes before you buy it. Also be careful that it has not been thrashed by a boy racer.

it's a good car and if you truely wanted a turbo model you can find an aftermarket kit from sts turbo and you can go from there .. mild to wild or whatever you want. but as is, it's a good car .

It is if you buy it for about $7500 out the door. Otherwise, you had better buy an extended warranty. Good Luck!

If the car was maintained, then you should be okay. They are very durable, dependable, reliable. good on gas and handling, safety. The AWD is fantastic. These are great cars, you will enjoy it.
