takes about an hour and 15mins as you need to get off at jurong east station and change train to go clementi, cheers

You can go to this website to check the average travel time: http://smrt.com.sg/trains/travel_times.html . From there, the time required from sembawang to clementi is about 30 minutes, excluding the waiting time. For the waiting time, it's about 2 to 3 minutes for the morning peak hours (think it's at 7am to 830am), for other time period, waiting time is about 4-7 minutes. But in the morning, you need to try to squeeze into the train towards Pasir Ris when you drop off at Jurong East or else, it requires more waiting time.
