OK so i was on the computer and then all of a sudden my screen turned white with little black and blue lines. So i shut down the tower. Now the tower will turn on (makes a weird noise) but the monitor will turn on but the screen stays black. So my question is what is wrong with it?!?

The tower is making weird noises when i turn it on then it did before it was fine.

It has to be your video card... try to open your tower and check the video card... apply some pressure on in while pushing it in, it might be loose... (but please turn off the tower first...) after that, connect the monitor cable to the video port, and tighten it... turn on your tower and try to see if the same thing happens again... if it still does, have it checked by a licensed technician...

I suggest you check the connection of wires leading from the screen to the pc - they tend to come very loose. The same for the power lead, ensure everything is plugged in.
It may also be a case that the screen has blown due to over use.

screen dark but gets power..........monitor may have died
