that leaves mostly log ash with a little coal ash mixed ,would it be of any value to adding it to the soil in my garden. thank you.

Yep. As long as you aren't burning plastics or trash, I think it should be fine.

Wood ash is very good for the garden, but coal ash is not.
If the amount of coal ash is small it would be OK to add it to the garden soil. My old garden book which is very good, emphasizes that wood ash if left in the rain before use, will lose all it's beneficial qualities as all the goodness will be washed out, so it's important that if not used immediately it should be covered up until needed.

I am not sure about the coal ashes. I have been adding wood ash to my garden every spring. So far everything seems too like it.

I as well have and use my wood burning stove on a regular basis. I wondered the same thing so I placed the potash onto my garden(flower) when the first rain came the top soil became hard as rock(cement). I had thought that it would make a good fertilizer and perhaps could still be if I tilled it in, maybe needed something added. but,do not just put it on. consult a garden shoppe.

You bet,its March get yerself some onions sets and plant em. sprinkle some around the wee ains, see how they grow.

YES when i have a bonfire down the allotments i always dig it well down into the ground.
