They actually have talent and the drive to succeed, none of the others worked at it after they won they just expected it to be handed to them on a silver platter. And some of the others like Clay Aiken have zero talent the only hype he gets is about his sexual orientation and putting his hand rudely I might add over Kelly Ripa's mouth and having Big Ole Rosie O'Donnell backing him up cause he's queer. Taylor Hicks looks like some ones grandpa ran away from the old folks home and the rest are so forgetable I can't remember them.

What sets them apart is the fact that they can sing. Reuben won because people were shouting "racism". Fantasia was good but all she does is yell so that gets tiring. Taylor Hicks...um? Look who else sold lots of albums...Chris Daughtry and Clay Aiken. Some people tend to forget Idol is a singing competition (like Simon always says) and they vote for someone that isn't as popular. Tamyra Grey/Gray of season one was phenomenal too...she got kicked off like 5th. People don't always pick the best.

Prob because they have put out more albums than anyone else and some people may think they are better singers.

They are good. They make songs there own, and have talent that really shows no matter when they are singing.
