Yes Sunshine, I worked years back at the Holiday Inn, in N.Y.
I have met and talked to all the people I will list, that I can remember, I will make notes also.
1.Mel Blanc..sat with him and had coffee, he was so fun, did all the cartoon voices for me, and gave me a picture with his autograph made out to me!
2.Tammy Wynett and George Jones, not only got to visit with them, but was asked to have birthday cake, it was Tammy's birthday, she then gave me the rest of this huge cake, that had her picture made on it, she was so nice, and George was feeling no pain!LOL
3.Dennis Weaver, met him in the hall, we started chatting, he was so handsome and way taller than I thought. He is a bad boy!
4.Charlie Daniels Band, they were so nice. So out going they visited with everyone.
5. Barbera Steisand(may have spelled it wrong) She was not to friendly, she had her son with her, he was only 5 then, but he looked just like her!
6.Steppenwolf! Oh they were to cool! Each one arrived in a seperate limo, each came out of their limo's with full length fur coats, oh my heart was racing, they were good looking! They asked me to their room, but I did not go! That is the truth! But I wanted to LOL!!
7.Loverboy the so called rock band! I never did like their music, and this is the truth I had a argument with them, they tried to get in my taxi, I made them get out and call their own!
8.The entire original Broadway cast of Cats! I can't remember his name, but this one cast member let me wear his full length fur coat! I had a hard time parting with it!
9.The real man, from the movie walking tall, he was in N.Y. to testify. He was killed or some say his brakes went out!
10.I do not know this man's name, I was not allowed to. He was a big in the mafia. He also was there to testify, they rented the entire 4th floor, so no one would be on that floor, but him. My boss asked if I would mind taking care of him, such as delivering meals, taking his suits to the cleaners etc. I said yes, oh I was so curious! But the catch was everytime I had to go to his room, there was this gigantic security guy at the door, he was bigger than the door!! I had to be frisked every time, I do mean entire check of my clothes, shoes etc. I also could not speak of my job. I did that for the entire 3 weeks he was there. But I never had made that much money in tips!!!!
11.The drummer from Boston, I met him here in Tx. yrs. back, I was a bartender. He was very nice, and my customers loved it. I am sure he was tired of all their questions!
12. How can I forget Buddy Guy my favorite blues player! Not only did he talk with me, he played to me! I was in heaven! I have signed pictures and he signed a shirt for me!
13. Rod Stewart, this is funny my best friend Madelyn and I went to see him, this is N.Y. again, and the show was over. We were right outside, and there sits a limo, we say this must be Rod's limo and go over, we for some unknown reason open the DOOR!! It was not locked and there he was, he was alittle shook at 1st, then he said hello to us, and even he had to start laughing, we were a mess!
14. Ernie Williams a very popular blues player in N.Y. we were invited to sit at his private table, oh what a show and what a great person, he told us alot about his ex wive's LOL! His present wife was with him, she didn't seem amused. But who cared he was so much fun. I have all his cd's and he signed them all.
Whew! Sunshine I know there is more, but I can't remember!
Oh I remember 1 more, Madelyn and I went to see Blood Sweat & Tears, I do not remember which band member, but it was their birthday. Well Madelyn made a huge cake, I remember telling her, they will not notice. Boy was I wrong! We got to not only meet all them, but to have cake with them after the show, and our pic's taken!! That was very cool!
I remember again oh I am getting carpal tunnel! I met yrs. back in the hotel again, the original Harlem Globetrotters. They were alittle on the wild side. And tried to pick up me and another young lady. When I said no, they asked well we know you want our autograph!! No I told them I did not!

Over the years I've met several actors, singers, songwriters. Where do I start? Clint Black, George Strait, Bobby Sherman, Davy Jones, Peter Noone, Ann Margaret, Bill Cosby, Naomi Judd, Brett Butler, Tanya Tucker, Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, Roger Staubach, Bridget Hanley, Thomas Kinkade (The Painter) , Michael Knight (All My Children), Lorrie Morgan, Vicki Lawrence, Tony Dorsett, Erin Murphy (Tabitha on Bewitched) band members of Sawyer Brown, Billy Dean, David Copperfield. I guess that's about it and the only other person that I would have loved to meet and never got the chance was Elvis Presley.

I had a front table in a blues bar and Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown was playing. After the first set he came over, ordered a beer., and asked if I knew where he could get some smoke. I happened to be able to help him and we were friends for life. Fascinating man, incredible guitarist, violinist, and singer. Sadly, he passed during Katrina (he lived in New Orleans) but my autographed album is a prized possession. Frank Zappa and Keith Richards cite him as a major influence.

I met two celebs last year. One I met at my dad's restaurant in DC and it was George Clooney. I told him I was a really big fan and I loved his movie One Fine Day. Then my dad and him talked about politics a bit since he seems to be into it quite a bit. I saw him again at a rally for Darfur. At that rally I also met Chris Rock. He was sitting behind me with his wife and his daughter. She was so cute! I didn't realize he was sitting behind me until halfway through the rally and then I went and talked with him a bit. I don't exactly remember what I was talking about with him but I do have his autograph. He signed my program before he left. Him and George Clooney are so very kind!

I met Miranda Lambert this past fall. We have a huge rodeo and there's a lot of camping and our spot was right across the street from the rodeo arena and during the daytime before her show someone came over and asked if she could practice her shooting her bow. so she came over and hung out for awhile and just chilled. I dont really like country music but she is an cool person.
I also got drunk with this band called a change of pace. they played a show at my favorite bar up at the U of Iowa and after the show they ended up getting drunk with me and my friends, it was the coolest.

I met Woody Harrelson at the top of a ski slope at Sunshine Village in Banff, Canada. I went up to him to meet him.(he's much smaller in person) We shook hands and he asked me where I was from. I said, 'Houston'. Then he said, 'Houston? We were just talking about Houston. I'm from The Heights in Houston.' Anyway, we would've kept talking, but my kids were waiting for me to go down the run with them and he could see that. His was very cordial. We saw him again when the slopes were closing. He was walking to the lodge arm in arm with his wife. He smiled and that was it!
My best friend's husband met Viggo Mortensen on a plane from Miami to Costa Rica. He approached him, said he was a fan, but that my son was an even bigger fan. He got Viggo's autograph dedicated to my son. We still have it today and for my son, it was almost as good as being there!

Well, one day I just happened to bump into Harrison Schmitt (the Moon astronaut). I did it deliberately, so that for the rest of my life, I could say, "Well, one day I just happened to bump into Harrison Schmitt."
Me: Oops, sorry.
Schmitt: Okay

Another time, I was hanging out in a warehouse where Charles Fleischer (the voice of Roger Rabbit) was keeping some stuff.
Fleischer: What happened to my boxes of videos? They were right here!
Me: I'm sorry sir, I just threw them away. Would you like me to get them from the dumpster?
Fleischer: No, that's okay.

Another time, I saw Ray Charles. I waved at him, but he didn't wave back.
