I think it has to do with white people wanting something just for them. you have spanish music that all mexicans listen too. you have rap and if you listen to that and your white then you get called a wigger. It seems like everything that white people get into others always have to get in the middle of it. For example. the river 5-10 years ago you would never see a mexican or black person there. Now you dont ever see a white person. Glamis. always white now good luck finding one. Whites are tired of being the minority.

That's a tough question, and I'm guessing it's different to everyone. I act the same towards all new people. They start out with my respect, and have to do something to make me act in a non respectful way towrds them. I'm guessing these guys have a stick up their butt, and don't realize that people are all the same, and just come in different packages. These guys are being asses, so maybe confront them...no, not such a great idea, so I'm honestly not sure, but you could always just go to a different guitar shop. I've never had problems at Guitar Center myself. Good luck.

That is the world for you. I don't look at anyone by the color of their skin. I think everyone is the same and should be treated the same. If you aren't white and you like Rock, I don't see anything wrong with that. I say ROCK ON!

: )

If I were you,I wouldn't go in that shop again and don't give
them your money either. These are the worst kind of idiots.
My friend in the UK had a similar thing happen to him,all
his friends just stopped going to the shop and spent
money elsewhere.

Don't let people like that bother you,you will never be white.
and they will always be @ssholes.Take care of yourself
and remember they are the ones with the problem.

I am not sure where you live but unless the whole town is a bunch of inbred idiots I find this hard to believe. I think that you are just trying to stir a race issue up. If it is so bad where you live move, most whites don't treat blacks like that anymore. Why don't you ask your white friend what is up with the racism.

You should address your issues with the management of the store...if they don't get the situation taken care of then you should follow-up and professionally address it with the owners. Also if I were you I would take my business to another shop.

Make sure you are always professional. This is the year 2007, I wish people would move past color and realize we all bleed red.

Racism is aweful. I'm sorry you have to put up with that sort of crap. I love guitar! Nice to see that someone else is against racism. As for how to cope with it, you should be defensive, like out smart them, out "rock" them, do what you will. Just don't get into any fights ;]

I am so sick of non- white people thinking that everybody is rascist to them. You just look for the "bad" looks and when you think they give u one u jump to conclusions and say there being racist. Even whites get bad service from people at stores. Colored people r very racist to but it just stands out more when a colored person says oh that white person is being racist.... GIVE IT A BREAK.... AND GET OVER IT.
And maybe u are an idiot to think that everyone is out to get you just becasue your a n i mean black or whatever color u r. So just get over it.... And that goes for anybosy else who aggrees with this...
