To be hired to illustrate for something, do you have to be SUPER good? -_-

So umm.. how would you decide if someone's a good artist or not? Originality? Good at drawing human anatomy? etc?

you tricked me I thought you meant how good do you have to be? I was going to say that depends on who you are and what you are doing and who is judging you, does that answer this question as well?

An artist can become hired if they have a unique style, or a realistic stlye, or anything.
It really depends on what the person hiring is looking for.

If you have talent, seek it out though.
You may also be able to do some freelance art, or even caricature drawings for a park or carnival.

Artistic talent can go many different directions.

Maybe even web design or graphic design.

Not very good. Just average to illustrate.

You decide if someone is a good artist or not by looking at their work. It is all subjective. One mans trash is anothers treasure.
