No ! Since1998 the penalty for treason is life imprisonment.

A trial would have to be held in the same way as any other criminal offence.

The queen can't order an execution, she does not have the authority to do so. We do not have the death penalty in the UK or any of its territories. UK law demands a proper trial with evidence and witnesses etc. The queen is just a figurehead. She could of course with all her wealth hire an assassin, this however would be illegal, and if discovered would bode ill for the queen. Though I really don't think she would actually have someone murdered

"if" the Queen where to issue such an order, there would be just cause. Due to her dignity, I would assume the Queen would allow the person all rights accorded to all her subjects.

But if she were to act out of accordance of her laws, due to the respect and reverence she holds, it would most likely be carried out. If not in the public domain, then privately.

Check the brakes...

No.

Although treason and piracy still technically carry the death penalty, the accused is still Constitutionally entitled to a trial by jury and everything that goes with it.

It would be up to the Court to decide the penalty, and they would no longer issue a death penalty.

The Monarch has not been Constitutionally been allowed to summarily order the execution since the Magna Carta was signed, although up until a couple of centuries ago someone the Monarch wanted dead usually ended up dead one way or another.

Have you taken leave of your senses? This is the United Kingdom: our constitution and form of democracy is known as a "Constitutional Monarchy". The Queen reigns but She does not rule. The Queen is The most important figure in the constitution being Head of State, Queen, and Earthly Head of the Anglican Church. However, She is NOT a despot!!

In legal theory she is the most powerufl head of state on the planet, she is Head of state of sixteen independant nations in the Commonwealth were as george bush is head of state of one.

Britain abloished the death penatly ages ago, even committing treason you still wont face the death penalty.

there is one law i think its call the treason felony act where if you break you it you can get deported, for writting about killing her, overthrowing her etc but its rarely used incase we 'break' their 'human rights'.

The only time a death penalty can be imposed by a Judge is for treason. That was never included in the removal of the death penalty in UK

No one can be executed without "due process of law", even if there were a death penalty.

Not anymore. At one time it would have happened, but she is merely a figurehead now. The crown carries no real power anymore.
