Once you're done. Close the window. Right click on Internet Explorer. Click on Properties. Delete the Internet History, Temperary Internet Files, AND Cookies. Now sometimes all the Cookies don't get deleted. So, under Browsing History click Settings. It will bring up a folder. If all the Cookies were deleted then nothing will be in there. But if there's files in it, delete them. Now, there's no proof that you were on there!!! Don't forget to close any programs like Yahoo Messenger, etc. that were not open when you got on. And leave the mouse where it was when you got on. All proof has been removed!!! Have fun!!!

Yes dear, she can find out if you were on the computer. The main thing is why did you get grounded and do you feel guilty going against your mother's orders.

:) If she's clever enough to check the history and temporary internet files----go into your tools on the task bar above--click on internet options--clear your history and temporary internet files.
I probably shouldn't be telling you how to defy your mother, but if she's truly crafty, it will take more than a few technological tricks to throw her off your case because mothers always seme to find stuff out!
However, try that.

It depends on how computer savvy she is.
If I were your mother, I'd know, even if you tried all the tricks in the other answers.
Just sign off and wait for your punishment to end, you are not missing much.
