i lent my friend money to buy a dress and now i need the money back but she has forgotten about it whats an easy way to subtlly suggest/ remind about the money.

pretend you are in a state and need to pay a bill or you get trouble say im sorry to bother you but its urgent and your mate rushes and gets it for you and you dont feel bad for doing it and shes glad she helped you lol

There is no easy way, I can not believe she has forgotten> I willingly lend money on the understanding that it is only a loan, pay it back and you can ask again do not and never ask again. Just remind her! If she still forgets ,next time you see her in that dress ask her where she got it and how much it coast and who lent her the money to get it!!!!

say show me the money ha ha no i feel honesty is the best policy just ask i need that money i loaned you for the dress as i am short this week or month whatever i let you in to a secret mate shhhh don't tell anyone but i don't think she has forgot it you no what i mean another option that may work say do you no that money blah blah could i have it back and then add on if you cant afford all of it pay it back in instalment that way she wont feel so bad if she don't have all of it and your be getting your money back well eventually but odds are she will pay you in full end of let me no how it goes mate respect

Don`t be subtle about this! She hasn`t forgotten about it, could you forget if it was you who borrowed it? You must ask her for it back, in a friendly but direct manner. " Hey Jane, it is over three months now since I loaned you that £.200.00. to buy your blue dress, you said you`d pay me back quickly and you haven`t, and quite honestly I really need the money myself" If she claims not to have the money, tell her you will take " x" amount each week until she has repaid it, take no excuses. You were kind to her and I expect you are a `soft touch`. She must now repay you ensure that she does.

Next time she wears it say how good it looks then say, in a joky tone of voice, "You may have to take it off and give it to me since I paid for it!" - or something like that.
Otherwise, try to find some mag. article on dresses and choose one you'd like. Look at her with true amazement on your face and say "I totally forgot that I lent you money to buy that (blue/green) dress until now!!! Wow! When you pay me back I can afford to buy this one!"
Try not to sound bitchy or anxious. Keep it joky and light if you can.
If she doesn't take the hint say straight out "You know I lent you money for that dress, well I need the cash back right now so sort it will you."

Try asking your friend if she still has that dress she bought the other week. She may go red and say oh my god sorry I forgot I owe you that money. If that doesn't work then ask her direct if she has the money you lent her. She probably won't mind.

Simply say "can i borrow that dress i bought you" if she wont cough up the cash just be up front and tell her you need your money back.
It's yours and you shouldn't have to ask for it back, if she's genuinely forgotten she'll feel really bad about it and pay up.In future when somebody asks for a money loan say no and dont feel bad about saying it!

I know it might be hard but just tell her the situation and say that you need the money back. She is your friend so there whouldn't be a problem. My advice is don't lend money to mates.

this has happened with me and my mate before and as we were good mates i just said look i wouldnt normaly hassle you but am skint any chance of getting that money you owe me and 9/10 it works as they have just forgotten and its sorted in minutes thats what mates are yiou shouldnt be afraid to say you owe me can i have it back

I would just come right out and ask. If this is a friend they will understand that you need your money.
