im doing a science fair project on it. i did the experiment but i need to know why it wilted and is, like, almost dead. so i need like a scientific term of explaination or maybe a website that can explain it to me. science is my worst subject

Well, it probably dies because of osmosis... The cells of the plant have more water in them than the coke does (coke is full of sugar, salts, etc). Therefore, the water migrates through the membrane of the cell and leaves the flower, causing it to wilt and die of lack of water. Osmosis is all about the water movement, from a high concentration of water to a low concentration of water through a membrane. Look up osmosis for more information. I hope your science classes have gotten there, otherwise, it'll not make any sense. Good luck!
