Throw it out
Eat it
Throw all of the macaroni out--even the uncooked. You should cheak everything that is in that cupboard. Other things may be worrny also. When one thing gets them, it is very likely that other things will get them. Check your flour--cornmeal. I even got them in tea bags once.

With macaroni, I would recommend you throw it away as those bugs could also be inside the pasta.
HOWEVER, if you are dirt poor and can't afford to throw it away, rinse it three times in fresh water to get rid of the bugs and cook normally. It will be ok. Been there and done that.
To keep this from happening, store your pasta and flour in the freezer. Bugs can't hatch.
You can safely use the cheese packet in other macaroni, too.

Toss it, unless of course it's your last box of mac and you are broke, then pull the critters out and bon apetit. Here's a tasty tidbit for you, I used to work in a Q.C. lab at a mill and all you squeamish folks have probably already eaten insects in bread, pasta and any other flour products as a daily part of your diet. Basically it's nearly impossible to keep insects out of grain, so the FDA sets a certain limit on the amount of insect damage and number of bug fragments that are allowed into flour and most of the time it's not zero! At any rate an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, so next time you're buying mac check for webbing from Indian meal moths or tiny holes where an insect may have bored into the box. Also storing any flour, pasta or other starchy foods in plastic or glass containers goes a long way if you have any kinds of weevil or moth infestation in your house already.

ewww....I kknow how hard is musty be since you must be really hungry but if you eat it, then you have a chance of swallowing a bug. Are there a lot? If there is, I wouldn't risk it. If there is not much, go ahead and take them out if you want to but be careful. You can always makes more macaroni and cheese, it's not hard.

Yum, protein.
But seriously, I wouldn't eat it. Cooking it might kill the bugs and germs but would it kill the eggs? Would they hatch in your body and infest your insides? Those thoughts would keep me too grossed out to bring the food to my mouth. Throw it away.

Since you posted this ? in Psycology; which it has nothing to do with this category; then I would think you are hallucinating. Continue cooking because its actually ground up beef you are seeing. My advice to you is stay off the drugs when cooking. You can get seriously hurt or even die from food poisoning.

They will not hurt you; they are most likely weevils and you can scoop them out or not. If there are a lot of them, they may have a flavor, but depends on how many there are and how hungry you are????
