What if they need them and there is nobody in the backseat to pass them?

You don't have kids, do you?
Unless they have children, most people I know put them back there so the tissue box is less likely to get in the way or to block your view.
It is a known "fact" that tissue boxes are powerfully attracted to the underside of the gas and brake pedals and if placed on the dash board, they are irresistibly drawn to your line of view.
A lesser known fact is, if you place then in the front seat, they will try to attack you in an effort to take over the car, but maybe that is just me.
Did I mention the thrill of trying to turn around to reach for the tissue box, which is inevitably always out of reach while driving the car in a thunderstorm during rush hour traffic at 80mph?

Amazingly, they either just too lazy to get'em or they simply try their best to reach for it and then give up. They only end up getting the tissue box in the back seat is when they do NOT need it.

So that when they *** all over the back seat they have something near by to clean it up with before it stains and they're parents find out.

I am not sure why they put it in the back seat but i am sure its probally been put there cause they dont need them at the time
