Sounds like your battery may be getting ready to go out.

Is the battery going bad? Could be. Could also be the starter or other electrical connection to it. I'd start with having the battery tested. Many places will test them for you-- Sears, car part stores like Checker, Autozone, etc.

before you condemn your starter, alternator or battery, check the cables all the way from the battery to the starter. if the casing is swollen or cracked, the cable is corroded inside, causing excessive resistance. take the beast to AutoZone & they can check your alt & battery for free.

You need to get a meter and check the draw at the starter. But most likely it's a bad starter

I agree with your first 2 answers.....have your battery tested, or just go and buy another battery. You may have a dead cell, or a dead cell developing in your battery. Best of luck to you.
