I think that the difficulty of a profession depends on a person's abilities and aptitudes. For instance, what seems like an 'easy' job in retail, being a cashier, was difficult for myself because of the verbal abuse from customers for things over which I had no control, such as prices entered into the system correctly or an item being entered at all into the system. I almost think rocket science would be a better fit for me because it involves numbers and equations and those I can deal with. I don't know if many would agree.

I can think of three: the President of the USA (a whole country is relying on you and judging you at the same time), a mother (you are in charge of raising a person, and you get little respect for it), and a cardiothoracic surgeon (you would hold a beating heart in your hand, one wrong move and you kill the person). I am sure there are so many more, but the above are pretty hard.

I've always thot social workers who work for the state had it tough. They have huge caseloads with inadequate resources, including people, to do the job asked of them & have to put up with us wondering how in the world they didn't save some kid whose parent molested, beat or killed them. A pretty thankless job without the pay or perks. At least most others in high stress jobs are adequately paid. (I am not a social worker).

Unforunatley I don't think there is a right answer to this question -- reason bieng is that a professtion that is really hard for someone else is really easy for another.
But if I would have to say -- I would think bieng a nations leader (e.g. king, queen, president etc.) is up there since you have an entire nations well bieng to look after.

That is different for every person. It would probably be one where you had to do thingst that you hated doing, and felt physically and mentally drained everyday after work. For me it would be being a CPA or an engineer.
