Makeup is really to be used to enhance beauty...If you don't want to wear it then don't. In order to keep your skin in great shape be sure you are cleansing, exfoliating, freshening, moisturizing, and protecting (this would be with a foundation). Now, if you are actually doing all of this faithfully morning at night, then you could wear the makeup and still have amazing skin. I started wearing makeup when I was 13. I am now 26, so it's been 13 years (ouch! that makes me feel old), but I have been using Mary Kay's Skin Care Program for 3 years now and still wearing makeup. My skin is actually a lot better now than it was prior to Mary Kay. So anyhow, makeup is a personal choice. If you want to wear it lightly then you could do a dual coverage powder, 1 eye color, mascara, a bit of cheek color, and gloss. Easy and natural.

As far as making your eyes look bigger without makeup, that is going to be difficult. In fact I'm not sure it is even possible. If you don't mind the makeup. I suggest using a highlighter all over your eye (all the way up to the brow), such as a shimmery white. Then do a dark brown in the crease and a creamy white on the lid. Line your eyes with a black eyeliner. (not too think, but you can play with it and see what you like.) You can use an eyeliner brush to even it out if you need to.
Last use a black mascara. Now, if I actually knew your skin tone and eye colors I could give you a better idea as far as additional colors go.

Don't be worried about age because many girls wear makeup way sooner than 19.

Well, I hope this helps a little and it wasn't confusing at all. If you want to wear makeup and just aren't really sure how to apply it well, or what colors would be good...then just contact me. I have some great tips I would love to share!

I'm not a fan of makeup either. It really just makes your problems worse. I have clear, even toned skin anyway. But if you must know a few tricks of the trade- here they are:

1) Splashing cold water on your face acts as concealer and foundation for a few hours. Make sure the water's COLD, because cold water closes your pores for approx. 5 hours.

2) Lipstick. Instead of lipstick, substitute it with a nice drink of cranberry juice. Or a red lollipop (if you insist on the unhealthy way). It naturally stains your lips for the day (if you don't pick at your lips).

3) Mascara. For this, you'll need a type of petroleum jelly, like vasalline, and a Q-tip. Take a little bit of the petroleum jelly- a little goes a long way, I promise- on the Q-tip and just wisp it over your eyelashes. It makes them thicker and darker. If you have blond eyelashes I can't help you there. Sorry.

There. Now you're ready to head out the door :)

Hey
I didn't start wearing make up till like 21! believe it or not... I just felt uncomfortable wearing it and I guess since I didnt know how to put it on, I felt uglier with make up. It takes some getting used to but its really not a necessity. Its better to not wear it then feel you need to wear it all the time. Make up is not bad for your skin... unless you are over doing it by clogging your pores or stretching your skin (when applying eye make up).

For you to have nicer skin as you age you need sun block for sure. Do you wear it everyday? I do. When i wake up I put it on and then put make up on. If you haven't started already you should use a toner and moisturizer for your face. It will keep your face from aging fast and if you find the right one, it might reduce blemishes... that was my case anyway.

I dont think you should worry about the make up stuff tho. I'm sure to many guys out there, a girl who can walk around confidently without make up is a turn on.

Clean your face properly with a good cleanser. Follow it with a toner, then a moisturizer with at least SPF 15 or higher in it, and UVA/UVB broad spectrum on the bottle.

For the rest of the day, just use blotting oil sheets to keep the shine at bay.

Drink lots of water, get a ton of rest, eat your fruits & veggies (especially berries), and exercise. The blood flowing to your face, combined with good food will really help your skin be at its best.

Only wear makeup when you want to, not at any certain prescribed age.. I started at 19 myself, but it was so minimal, I might as well have not done it. Now, I'm starting to pare down on my makeup, and I only normally wear eyeliner, mascara, blush and light concealer. Some days, nothing at all.

But I never forget the SPF sunscreen moisturizer because it will prevent wrinkles and age spots in the future.

Get those clean and clear oil absorbing sheets and keep them in your purse - they are great for dabbing that mid day oil off and making you look fresh without any make-up. I would put on like one coat of mascara and some lip balm and be good to go..

Most important thing is to take care of your skin - always wash your face before you go to bed and start using a moisturizer that is right for you skin type with an SPF... you don't need make-up if you don't have a lot of wrinkles/ blemishes... hope this helps!

Clear skin, a white smile, and maybe a tinted moisturizer (to even out skin tone).
I think it would be ok to use make up now...
To take an extra 2 steps (which need makeup) you could dab white (like pearl colored) shimmer in the inner corners of your eyes and brush on some mascara. All in all you would look fresh and natural rather than made up.

For clear skin wash your face everyday. Once a month do one of those fancy masks or something, maybe even a homemade thing if you want to save $$. Drink LOTS of water, exercise, eat right. Acne happens, just take good care of your face.

To make them wider use mascara, one of those eyelash curlers, or just do a smoky eye and fan out the shadow a little bit. I think eyeliner makes them look smaller but maybe that's just me.

you should consider a good skin care product,I use Kohl's "good skin" products for specialized care. The price is not bad average $15 for moisterizer. but use a toner after cleaning your face and a good moisterizer. I suggest you use make-up for special occasions, and in my case I didn't use it daily till after age 30. But always remove make up before going to bed!

well it all starts with a good skin care regimen,

ALWAYS wash your face morning and night, and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS, wear moisturizer to protect yur skin from bacteria, debri, and anything in the air.

and as for the make-up there is no "time" to start,
it depends on you and when yu feel like wearing it, i know lots of people who only wear mascara ans lipgloss.
and only wearing it for special occasions is fine as long as yur fine with it. do what pleases you.
