Babies don't just lie around with a giggle and say "goo goo" all day and night. Their sleeping patterns are also different. They're up at 5 in the morning and go to sleep early....plus they wake up a million times during the night. You will lose your freedom TOTALLY if you decide to have a baby when you're young. The baby is totally dependent on you. So, sorry, there are no pros on having kids young.

Are you out of your mind? You're not married (a married person doesn't ask such clueless questions) and you're talking about spring break. You're still in school, then, and you want to have a baby - are you a complete idiot?
Best reason for you not to have a baby is that you are a complete idiot and a baby deserves better in a parent.
Cons of having children young is that you are a leech - you expect mommy and daddy to catch you in this great fall you are looking to take? Or would it be the clueless guy whose sperm you're borrowing for your great plan? Or would it be the public funds to pay for the expenses that occur all along the way for a person who can barely rise above the poverty line.
Look it up on the Internet - the level of income that qualifies as poverty. I guarantee to you (without even knowing you) that you will never rise above that level. And when you do, it will be because there is a new poverty level and you are still below it!
Lucky kid that will have such a life - in poverty - and you still clinging to the support of mommy. I assume Grandma is going to be the baby's primary caregiver while you go through all the trauma of growing up yourself.
These are the cons.
The fact that you mentioned HIV and sexually transmitted stuff puts you somewhere in the 15 and under category, I would think. You don't realize that HIV is not a 'con'. HIV is a death sentence - the child you bring into the world with HIV is going to be so lucky to live to be a teenager. That's the latest upper limit for a child born of idiotic teen mothers who think HIV is probably like a chronic cold.
So consider yourself cursed, then. You will be responsible and bound emotionally to a child you have condemned to die at an age when they have everything to live for - because you think a 'con' of having sex and getting pregnant is HIV.
You're in for such a world of hurt because you are ignorant and determined to be sexually active.
If it didn't make me so angry to think of it, I'd feel sorry for you. Where are your parents and why aren't you talking to them? They're in for some real heartbreak too.
Then again, this could be a joke. A question meant to rattle the cage of people who get tired of the 'Can I be pregnant?' questions from 13 year olds on Answers. If so, good joke.

Well I am 15 and I have a 3 month old child and my cons are I get really tired and aggravated. Sometimes I will actually cry myself to sleep because I should have never had a kid this young. Now I don't know how young your talking about but I suggest at the youngest is 18 or 17.

At 14 or 15 yrs. old (I believe, that is your age from reading your questions), it is a really bad idea. You are way too young and can not offer the child the best life, since your a child yourself.
Enjoy your teen free life, to have a child now is just being selfish and you will both lose in the end.

Well, by having kids really young, you lose your freedom, can suffer badly financially, you could lose touch with a lot of friends who cannot relate to your new role as a mother when they are out at clubs and pubs all weekend. I'd wait a few years, enjoy your youth, travel, get a good career, meet people, then have kids a little later when you are more secure, both emotionally and financially.
Good luck and enjoy spring break, with contraception!!

It's very hard to stay friends with the "non-parents" My friends and I just didn't have that much to talk about after my son was born. They could've cared less that my son was up all night with diarrhea and I didn't get to go to the parties they did, so I didn't know what they were talking about. Do you like to sleep in? There will be none of that after the baby is born...as well as towards the end of the pregnancy.
