After going to the drop down box for connection options, it lists LPT printer port, serial com, file print to port and nul print to port, but no USB. There is an option to add a port, but I have tried several options and different ways to add it, define it ,but it does not work for me yet. Any suggestions ?

You will need the software for the printer. Go to HP.com or their home web page and get the software there for your particular printer model.

You want to make sure that if there is a disc (there should be) you install it, sometimes printers dont work if you dont install the drivers for them
