Do you know how fast one has to be driving to go through the windshield in an accident? Because if you're not going fast enough, you'll just bounce off.

And I'm not being morbid. The reason I ask is that my husband and I were just watching X-men and the thought popped into our head when Wolverine launches through his windshield in beginning of the movie.

15 mph or more will do the job ' cause shields are designed to "pop - out" when struck at that speed. AS to going thru one, God help your a...s !! Aorta gone and bleed out iminent usually(unless of course you are 3 to 5 min away from a hosp. or EMT service !! Remember you are STILL traveling @ the cars speed and th shield is stationary !!That is why SEATBELTS were installed in vehicles !! To keep your 'noggin away from the windshield !!
