if anyone knew if there was a website that had challenges on them for fanfiction?

Yes, challenges are a common feature within the fanfic community. I've seen a lot of it on livejournal. Most of it is organized around specific fandoms, so your searching should be fandom specific, for example: Harry Potter fanfic or Harry Potter challenges.
Obviously, I have no idea if you write Harry Potter fanfic, but one site for challenges is part of FictionAlley:

If you happen to be a writer of Harry Potter fanfiction, fanfiction.mugglenet.com has bi-monthly challenges.

It really depends on what series you wite fanfiction for.
here are two lj communities that seem rather generic to me, though, the first one is for drabbles and the second one doesn't have many entries.

You can do a search on livejournal for communities that have to do with the area you're interested in and with challenges.

No I dont...but a great place where you can post fanfiction than have it judged for points is on www.gaiaonline.com

Why not try the sites for the character you write about?
Most of them have forums where you can post your stories.

do a web search "poets" "Authors" "writers" etc
you will turn up dozens of sites, and some may be useful
