The platies would be just fine. The gourami MAY feel some stress though, as many gouramis are shy and platies are some of the more rambunctious fish you can get. But they shouldn't damage the gourami as long as they're not overcrowded in the tank.

EDIT I just noticed that you pluralized gouramis -- be VERY watchful of the gouramis with each other. I know people that have pulled it off, but males very frequently don't tolerate each other and females are hard to find.

yes platys do well with any short finned fish

If you are talking about the scavenger fish, yes. Both are kinda loners and won't bother much of anything.
