Everything is determined by previous experience and locked in morals. Even the deepest of desires and choices are based off of what is wished for as an outcome that is based within what is socially acceptable. "Suppose your will were free. This would mean that your actions were not determined by causal laws. If no causal laws governed your actions, then it would be impossible to predict what you are going to do.Even the possibility of a decision that is outside normal realm is still most likely well within the characteristics of casual laws

free will has nothing to do with god or with heavens...
Man is condemned to make a choice in every second of his life. Some choices are good for him and some arent. Whether he is fully aware of the consequences of his choices is more important than whether he has free will or not. He may sincerely think that the option he chooses is good for him and for mankind but it may come out the other way around. At such cases he cant be held responsible. The problem is that most of our choices are made in full ignorance of the consequences.

I'm a bit confused about what you're asking...

Yes we have laws in place which hopefully dissuade people from doing certain things & winding up in jail. People also hopefully have morals and a conscience which would regulate their behaviour. They have experiences and biases that shape their personality, behaviour and life choices. They also have societal & familial obligations. But the bottom line is that we aren't FORCED to do anything. No one is holding a gun to your head & saying "Be nice!" It is still our choice how we behave & what we do. We have freewill & we are accountable for our actions. We are not helpless pawns.

Free will is something that God has given us, but you need to realize that it has its limitations.

Christianity teaches that our free will is so powerful that it can supersede the will of God. This is simple nonsense. God loves us too much to ever allow this to happen.

Our free will is constrained by the choices God makes available to us. That is all of the possible choices that are available to us, lead eventually to the exact same outcome. Some take us in more circuitous pathways but all of the possible choices eventually lead us back home to God.

So the answer is actually yes and no. We do have free will but it is constrained by the choices God allows for us to pick from. God simply loves us too much to allow us any choices that would allow us to become permanently lost to Him.

Many religions teach that this is not the case, that we can become forever lost due to our choices. This is a simple lack of faith in Gods love for us. A simple misunderstanding No more no less.

Free will determines the choices we make in life. However, it is difficult to judge (at times) especially if we are uncertain about the decisions we make. This is also part of free will. The book "Another Thought" by OC Tross will explain this in detail.

I disagree with this entirely. Are you serious? if this were true there would be no criminals anywhere on the planet. Our deepest desires are based on what is socially acceptable? Why are there pedophiles? rapists? thieves?
