Thank you both. I thought so -- just when I went onto the web and read definitions it neglected to mention "spirtuality" so I thought I should ask. -- Is there anyway to pick 2 top answers? :)

Yes it should because holistic healing is about balancing the mind, body and spirit. You can't get well if your spirit is depressed or unwilling.

Holistic is just that - mind, body and spirit. Things like reiki, meditation, prayer are all critical components to holistic healing. The spiritual part takes into consideration we need to be in tune with the universe - and something bigger than ourself. When we do this we have a much better chance of healing and finding strength in the peace that comes from that.

The object of healing the body holistically includes the spirit. Without looking at the spirit, the healing takes much longer. Our spirit carries memories from the past that become Incorporated in the current manifested body. These memories help shape the beliefs that form our personality. Unfortunately the memories from spirit lay dormant most of the time. They are mostly unconscious memories, but they still effect us.

Absolutely! Mind over matter baby. Ever heard of the placebo affect? Just believing something will work has been scientificly proven to work in a small percentage of people, those with the greatest faith I suppose .
