NO I would say come down to Cornwall but that's far to travel for a day, try something new, how about a day learning football skills or any kind of sport, which they might be interested in, it's difficult when there is such a big age gap to cater for.

If it's a lovely spring day, go for a walk you never been on, or cycle trail, then have a picnic lunch. Best I can do as I don't know Leeds, apart from knowing the football team isn't doing very well.

Have you been to Eureka!, the kids' museum in Halifax? It's a good day out for the kids (and adults), not too far from Leeds and not very expensive either.

Stockport has a hat museum.
But in the unlikely event that a day out in stockport doesnt appeal...

You don't say if you can get to other parts of Yorkshire, but if you can, you may be able to find something at this link...
