Just checked: Iran does accept refugees, so there is nothing to stop you going there and claiming asylum. Perhaps you could post a question on Y/A when you get there.

I would say good riddance to them. If they like Iran better they should go there. Everyone should go live in the country which has the government they most agree with. Then tell them to stay there. Those who like dictatorial theocracy as an idea will change their tune when they have to live in it. { ;)
