The biggest taboo subject of all is DEATH. People don't like to talk about it because of the 10,000-volt fear that thinking of their own dying provokes. The thought and belief systems, the myriad ways we've created to entertain and distract ourselves, were all set up so we wouldn't be bothered with DEATH. The ultimate taboo subject. Way more taboo than ELIMINATING BODY WASTE or PERSONAL FINANCES or PERSONAL SEXUAL PREFERENCES.
