I get up very early in the morning. I have to leave my apartment at around 6:20 for work and I have a dog I have to walk at around 6:00 am. It used to be pitch black until recently with the light being out longer. Once daylight savings starts is it going to be dark in the early morning again?

Yes It will be dark longer in the morning again, only until the Earth tilts on its axis a little more. The sunlight is usually increased at a rate of 1 minute per day, until the summer solstice. At that time it decreases at the same rate. The NEW standard of changing to the 2nd Sunday in MARCH as opposed to the 1st Sunday in April, and the 2nd Sunday in November from the last Sunday in October, was enacted to help decrease the energy consumption in the United States.

I am sorry to have to tell you that it will be dark again. The government seems to think that most people get up later than you do and so they stay up later than you do and if they had more light in the evening it would save electricity. You will of course use more electricity since you get up so early. However, later in the summer you should get some morning light back.
