I have a 2001 silverado with no fuel pressure. I pulled off the fuel line before the fuel filter and turned the key and there was nothing. I changed the relay and it still didn't work. Is there anything else that would cause the fuel pump not to run?

Yeah, a dead fuel pump. These go out all the time on the Silverado/Suburban/Tahoe/etc. That's why GM switched suppliers from Delco to Bosch.

Time for a new pump.

Yes. There's a shutoff switch that kills the fuel pump when you bump into something. The owners manual will tell you where it is and how to reset it. Try that and check the fuse before you go dropping the tank.

What you will desire to do is disconnect the gas line on the precise of the engine, then have your neighbor crank up your chevy and all you will desire to do is see if its spitting out gas yet undergo in techniques that this technique could be alittle risky so which you pick to try this very rapid and rapid ok, crank the engine atleast 2 seconds, thats all you like so you might work out if its spitting out gas, if it does spit gas than purely plug the gas hose back in its socket and proceed to the different diognostic attempt. additionally, you've gotten your neighbor crank the engine and you pound on the gas tank with a rubber mallet a number of circumstances and purely hear if the truck desires to start or not. if it does start up then its for beneficial it particularly is your gas pump. constantly undergo in techniques that for the period of the experience that your going to replace your gas pump then i'd propose additionally changing the gas clear out too. rather, if as quickly as you replace the gas pump and the chevy ultimately runs, i'd recommend the gas clear out and a oil replace on condition that this provide you a solid gas mileage. good success!
