You get over your fears! Family and marriage go hand and hand. Just promise to do one thing! When you do tell them, don't be like a timid salesman with his hat in his hand. Be bold! Let it be known that there isn't any discussion on if it is or isn't going to happen. Give the date, time, place and request they be there with bells on! It would help allot if you're the husband to ask your father to be the best man. And if you are the wife ask a sister to be the maid of honor, or vice versa, it helps to have a confidant in your corner!

You don't have to tell them if you don't want. Just get married and when you see your family introduce him as your husband.

think about why you are scare to tell them. is there something behind that fear? maybe you have doubts about this person?
