I'm Scottish, Welsh, Dutch and Canadian French. It's been said that my family is related to William Wallace. I'd love the chance to visit my ancestral homeland and to meet my kin.

Some, about 12.5%, of my ancestors were Irish, that is Scotch-Irish, who were Lowland Scots who were encouraged to move to Ireland by James I and VI after the Flight of the Earls (1607). They emigrated to the New World early in the 18th century.

The other 87.5% were from one of these two groups. Some of my ancestors were German, Anabaptists from the Palatinate. Some were Swiss living in the Palatinate from the immigration of Swiss Mennonites in the middle of the 17th century. They (both groups) emigrated to Pennsylvania in the 1720s, 30s, and early 40s.
