Been to Vegas? Heck, I'm here every day.
I think more shows are good than bad but of course thats my humble opinion.
Here are some of my favorites:
Ka
Zummanity
Lance Burton
Danny Gans
Penn & Teller
Amazing Jonathon
Blue Man Group
Mama Mia
Ones that you could live without:
Tony and Tina's Wedding
The Producers
LOVE
La Femme

I've seen the following shows:
Blue Man Group at the Venetian
Mystere at Treasure Island (twice)
O at Bellagio
Danny Gans at the Mirage
All four were fantastic. I try to see a new show every time I go to Vegas. The last time we were there, we waited too long to get tickets to a show we hadn't seen (they were sold out) so we went to Mystere again and didn't regret it a bit.
Your tastes should help you determine which show you'd like to see. If you like loud concert events and humor, see the Blue Man Group. If you like to be amazed by incredible acrobatics, see any of the Cirque d'soleil shows. Whatever you do, book your tickets in advance. You'll have a hard time finding tickets after you get to Vegas... especially if you wait until the day of the show.
Since you asked about "What shows are good?" I'll tell you what I tell all my friends to head to Vegas. See Danny Gans at the Mirage. His show is incredible. He puts every other show in Vegas to shame. Granted, he's just an impersonator. But he is so good, you'll be astounded.

The Blue Man Group is good. Cirque du Soleil is interesting. Don't waste your money or time at the Tropicana Show.

Vampire Show in Stratosphera .... absolutely terrible. It was the worst thing in Vegas for me.

Viva Las Vegas at the Stratosphere is cool, and cheap.

"O" I cannot remeber the rest but here are the hotels they play at if you want to look them up on the sites and buy.tickets in advance mgm grand has a show cesers papalce has a show the wynn has a show Flamingo has a great comidan called george Wallace you have to see . good luck
