That is so funny! My art teacher in high school (30 years ago) was creepy too! He looked like Little Richard and his name was Mr. Fingers. I had him for two semesters for Water Colors and Ceramics. At first I was a little weirded out by him, but I was so busy with my projects that he just became background noise.

Just put up with the creepiness and the beer breath and do what you love. Life is too short to let other people keep you from living it YOUR way.

I was under the impression that "weird" was a job requirement for Art teacher.

I can't help you with the beer breath: that is something for administration to handle. However, you do have to remember that art is subjective. You might not like his art, but others may find in powerful. Some day, someone may not like your art, but that doesn't mean it is bad, just not to their particular taste.

Also, he may be very informative as a teacher. Listen to his ideas to improve your drawings. If you head into high school with solid skills and understanding of artistic techniques, you will be ahead of your contemporaries.

Art teachers are always creepy. Just get him more beer and then he becomes freaky.
