Why or why not?

The Green Bay packers could have a shot at the superbowl just like any other team,to increase their chances they need a deep threat (trade a second and fourth round pick for Randy Moss). They also need a playmaking tight end, they should have traded for the tight end that the dolphins released, but they can grab a tight end with the third round pick. With the first round pick we need to take Marshawn Lynch because it is doubtful that Adrian Peterson will fall to us.with these combinations we could take a shot at it,our offensive line picked it up and the end of the season (4-0) and the defense has matured with the Cornerback tandem of woodson and harris,as well as the linebackers developing such as A.J. Hawk and Nick Barnett

Aaron Kampman,KGB and Cullen Jenkins at defensive ends can help stop the rush and rush the passer....so this year, with our more developed defense, and hopefully randy moss,we can make it to,and win the superbowl !!!!!

GO GREEN BAY

For starters, as far as the defense...anyone who actually kept up with GB would know that they didn't allow one single 100 yardrusher for 90% of the season, the corners were lacking somewhat, but to say the defense was horrible, I will challenge that.

Farve too old? Hell as long as he breathes he is still better than 75% of the OB's out there.I see them in the playoffs but no super bowl due to the fact, we don't know at this time who will run the ball. And depending on who it is, how long it takes to learn the offense...with that said..
The running back position is the easiest to learn and make an immediate impact for a team.
If they could manage to get Tatum Bell, look out.
I honestly see a 9 to 10 win season.

I always think Green Bay has a chance at the super bowl because of Brett Favre.

No. Playoffs maybe, but not Super Bowl.

1. Favre doesn't have any reliable weapons to get the ball to.
2. Losing Ahman Green killed you ground game.
3. You need at least 2-3 seasons to build a respectable defense around A.J. Hawk
4. Favre is a legendary QB, but he is too erratic and prone to turnovers.

no, and they won't for a long time. If you find yourself depressed, super bowls 1 and 2 are on espn classic a lot. They should have let Brett Farve go a long time ago, you have no qb or O line. even the rest of the team is pretty bad. but don't be worried, after a 20 year rebuilding stage, they should be fine

I seriously doubt it. The NFC is finally growing and becoming a stronger division, hopefully soon the be tougher than the AFC. There are some great teams, even though they had a rough year in 06. Philly, Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans and Chicago are going to be the top 5 contenders for the NFC.

The NFC is weak but not that weak. While Green Bay should be improved I think they still lack a consistent running game, consistent OL play, and consistent defensive play all together.

Every team has a shot to win it, that's why football is so great.
But will they win it? No. May not even make the playoffs
Although one the greatest QB's of All Time, Brett Favre is not what he used to be. He is not the biggest problem they have or even close to it. But he is one of the many problems.

being a HUGE green bay fan i have to say yes....but realistically i am thinking otherwise....first they let their best running back and full back leave....second they need to get someone to help jennings and driver out...third they need to start focusing on getting some linemen who are going to block for favre plus their defense needs to step up and start playing back in 98 when they won it all...and a few years back when they spanked the patriots....hopefully mccarthy pulls his head out and starts to get this team to play like they should be

NO WAY. I had respect for brett favre before, now hes just milking what little talent he has anymore. unfortunately, he'll break dan marinos records by playing an extra season, but I have lost all respect for him. After two yeears of less than 20 TDS and more INTs then touchdowns, I'm upset he's pulling a jerry rice and emmit smith.
