If you look at Kentucky's losses, 7 of 11 have been by 5 points or less. And 5 of those losses are to potential #1 seeds in the tournament (Florida (x2), UCLA, North Carolina, Memphis). When you play that tough of a non-conference schedule plus play in one of the toughest conferences in the nation it's going to happen.
Personally, I thought there was pretty poor officiating in the game. I could deal with letting it get so physical under the basket if they were making calls both ways. But they weren't. And it sucks when Kentucky catches teams when they're hot. MSU was coming off a huge win over Alabama, to win the SEC West.
I'm also hoping that the tough loss doesn't increase the Tubby talk. It's a shame that fans are calling for his resignation/firing. The only way I could support getting rid of Tubby would be if they were planning on bringing in someone better then him. With that being said the only coach I could see that would be "better" would be a Billy Donovan or Pat Riley ascending from the NBA ranks. Neither will happen in my lifetime. So they might as well be happy with what we have. I've been a long time Kentucky fan and now as well as any that we will never have a team like we had in 1996. It's quite possible NO ONE in the NCAA will ever have a team like 1996. So it's time UK fans get off their high horse and deal with it.
With all that being said, I'd like to see either LSU or Ole Miss win it. With the win they could get in the tourney, which is fine with me. I'd also like to see Georgia upset Florida tonight. Then maybe I could live with myself for a few days.

Kentucky is having a tough year. I live in Indiana and I still like to watch Kentucky play. Hopefully they will get better next season. I love this time of year watching March Madness. I love tournament time.

I like kent. I am a huge OSU, Michigan St., and Winthrop fan.
I first liked them after a close loss to Florida in their first meeting.
