Public school is free - unless you have to buy uniforms and lunches. Taxes pay for the school, it cannot be denied to any child.

As everyone else pointed out, public school is free. Private schools in California are actually quite expensive. My high school started off with tuition at about $17,000 when I was in 9th grade, and in 12th grade it was almost $25,000 (we were the first school in the city to cross the $25,000 tuition marker the next year). That said, private school tuition can generally range from $3-4,000 to $20,000 or more, including parrochial schools (church-affiliated).
So, a high school education can run you anywhere from $16,000 to about $100,000.

High-School is absolutely free. Taxes pay for each child's education. Things like basketball games, school lunch, class trips are things you have to pay for. But aside from the extra things, it's completely free of charge.

If it's public school, taxes pay for the education. The extras-like year books, student id cards, etc., for that information, if you are in the area, you could call the high schools in that area, and ask them.

If the High School is public, it is free. If you go to a private high school it might cost anywhere between $3,000 - 8,000 a year. Good Luck!!

If it's public, very little. I go to high school in Ohio and my parents only pay about $90-110 per school year.
