Aww some people are so narrow minded aren't they! Just be yourself hun. Unfortunately there will always be people who judge you and put you down. Rising above all that makes you a better person. Good luck and just think, there are some great, broad-minded people out there :)

Hey boy :) dont worry about anything, as time goes on you and everyone you talk about will know the truth about these matters.
Its just a matter of time and experiance of life, you cant let them see they have to see for themselves. If at the moment they cant see that you are perfectly healthy, then thats their problem.
However there is so much fear about AIDS etc, people are just plain scarred to death of becoming infected.
The fact is that now infection is rife amounst the hetrosexual segment of society, its no more associated with gay men only, bisexuals and gays alike are more well informed that hetrosexuals and most know the dangers of permiscuious sex and normally take precautions to protect themselves against infection.
What to do at the moment, well let them know that if & when you do have sex that you do it safely & not with just anyone, someone who is responsible and who is of an age to make correct choices about who they want as a partner or lover.
You take care now, and dont let ignorance worry you.
David :)xxx

I'm not sure that you can let people see. They just don't see things from the other persons point of view. I must be lucky, people seem to take to me, even though they know I'm gay. I'm sorry I can't help much. But I do sympathise. As for the spelling, use the check spelling at the top of the Your Answer panel. I use it all the time!!!!

I am borderline bi. Some gay men do seem promiscuous to me but then so are a lot of straight folk. For myself I have had HIV test and am vaccinated against Hep A and B, which is something I'd recommend to everyone.I live in a shared house. Currently the teddy bear is banished to the top of the food cupboard for blatantly sodomising the dalmation in public with banana and daffodil! Be whoever you want to be.

Listen, you're only about 11, yeah? Judging from the atrocious spelling I mean. So there's no way you're gay. You may be gay if you develop further into your teens, but right now....
Besides, people who believe they catch the gay if they go near you, can only be about the same age.
Stop trying to be interesting, kiddywink, and go and do your homework. And NEVER speak to a grown-up like that EVER AGAIN!

There are two things you have to keep in mind. First being gay is only one characteristic of your personality among others. So be yourself, don't try to impress people. The second thing is to think about the time it has taken you to accept you are gay, the people you love and who love you will need time as well. It's new for them, not for you. Let time help you.

I have no prejudices here; however, why was it important that everyone know your sexuality? I don't find it necessary to express mine... was/is it necessary to do so with yours (this is not a question of coming out of the closet) only to invite this level of ostracizing. I'm Hispanic to the bone, don't look it (just like there is no "look" surrounding being gay), and yet have no great need to tell everyone. And yes, my ethnicity defines me every much as your sexuality defines you. I suffered tremendous discrimination and prejudice as a kid, but soon realized that the issue was not to hide, but more so to disclose only to those who meant something to me- the hell with the rest.

Unfortunately we live in a world where freedom is only for some and not for everyone, so one learns to deal- it is what it is, by becoming strong thru time.

And finally, for those who say ignore the idiots, most have no idea what it means to live a lie, or to have to hide, or to experience extreme prejudice and alienation. They speak from a life of being accepted and not from one of deep seated struggles. It's tough to ignore mean spirited people- they seem to be crawling everywhere like cockroaches (just read some of the stupid responses through Y Answers).

Are you sure people can't catch it?!

I talked to this bisexual guy once and afterwards I started fancying Elizabeth Taylor....
I went to the doctor he prescribed I watch a Paul Newman or Marlon Brando film (he said not to watch The Godfather, then there was a danger i might become a lesbian) I tried it and now I am cured!

unfortunately society in general is narrow minded and a lot of people still find it difficult to accept people because they are gay etc. Sadly this is part of life and throughout life you will probably come across it a lot. Just try to be yourself and people will love you and appreciate you for who you are. Those who do not are not worth knowing, and those who are - are those who are your real friends. Good luck

You can't blame people and you will always received the same reaction anywhere. Learn to deal with it.

By the way there's a check spelling on the upper right hand of the box, when you're typing your question.
