The polar bear would win. Simply because it has weight and size on it's side. Although a grizzly is a formidable advisory it is smaller and therefore more likely to lose the fight.

Compared to the grizzly, it has a thinner, longer and more delicate skull, along with narrower forequarters. This streamlining is an adaptation for an aquatic life style.
The grizzly has a shorter, thicker neck, heavily built skull and more powerful shoulder structure. Despite being a good foot shorter, the grizzly has a trump card.
Their claws, having evolved as digging tools, are also unmatched at opening body carcasses. Claws of 6" aren't uncommon (9" record) while the polar bear has small hook-like 2" claws.
Sometimes, when the ice melts, polar bears have been known to be driven off by grizzlies, when they move south into the grizzlies feeding area.

That's a bit of a tough one to answer. The Grizzly Bear, of which the largest is the Kodiak Bear, Ursus arctos middendorfi, measures officially, up to almost ten feet & tips the scales at up to 1,720lbs. The Polar Bear, Ursus maritimus is also a giant, which measures up to 11 feet in length & weighs up to 1,500lbs. The largest Polar Bear on record, though, was an enormous male, who was shot some time ago in Alaska, & weighed in at just over a ton. That's very heavy for any bear. But the question of who would win a fight, is a fairly difficult question & the answer is perhaps, one that would be divided between many. The Grizzly is a seasonal bear. It lives in North America, & is not exclusively a carnivore. It has a varied diet & so, it is mainly an omnivore. The Polar Bear is exclusively a carnivore & also holds the record of being the world's largest land carnivore. Polar bears have a taste also, for Beluga whales, an arctic whale, which weighs on average, up to 4 tonnes in weight. The Polar bear can reach up to a ton in weight. The overall size of an animal, is down to the availability of food, & the fluctuation of it's surrounding habitat. The Polar bear can strike also with enormous force. The animal's weight is also supplemented by the layer of fat, which allows it to survive in such a harsh environment. Animals that are exclusively carnivorous, are naturally adapted to hunt down particular kinds of prey. A bear's strength, comes mainly from the shoulders. It is very noticeable when looking at a bear. Polar bears, though, may have the upper hand, as they are capable of smashing through, with their paws, ice that can be up to 4 feet thick. Even a small chunk of ice is solid enough to cause damage to anybody's knuckles or hand joints. So, given the strength of a fully-grown Polar Bear, it's hard to say a Grizzly Bear would win. Ultimately, though, it's mainly down to the health of the bear. But the most likely winner is the Polar Bear.
