What if your boss tells you that he is going to give you a pay raise when he leaves on vaction so you can handle the business he is doing and he leaves and you dont get nothing! Then he promises when he comes back that he was going to give you a check for everything you done and you dont get nothing and then he cheats you out of your hours what do you do? Please help my friend with this situation!

In the final analysis, there is nothing you can do about it. It's not that it's OK for him to do this but it's not unusual either. There are some and it's a significant percentage but less than half, that believe they can tease and tantalize employee with promises of raises and promotions and get away with it. I think it's stupid because in the long run, it POs the employee and they could just leave.
In your case, you have a simple choice. You either continue to work for him and ignore his empty promises. Or you can leave. Now if you choose to leave, and you hand in your resignation, he could suddenly produce the raise to in an effort to keep you. Still leave. Simply, if you accept the raise and stay, he will feel angry at being forced into it and your relatioship will worse. It's better to still leave. But don't say it's over the broken promises, say you found a new opporunity at something else you wanted to try. That way, he can't hold a grudge against you because you didn't tell me off, directly or indirectly.

As far as the sexual harrass. question, report the matter to H.R. for investigation.
As far as the hours, if you have documentation that you worked a specific number of hours and they did not pay you for those hours worked (and you are paid by the hour and not exempt from overtime) the company owes you the wages. If they refuse to pay you file a claim with the Department of Wage and Labor for unpaid wages.
As far as the raise goes, unfortunately, if the promise made was not kept, and it was only a verbal promise to you, there is not much you can do.
Sounds like you need to find a new place to work.

If your friend has discussed the matter with the boss and gotten no where, they should contact the labor board. I'm not saying that they will win, but the boss will be investigated over cheating hours. I once worked for a firm that had to pay a bunch of back time to employees because they used a strange overtime system.

That all depends on what kind of company you work for. At a small company you may not have any recourse, especially if the boss is the owner or very high up. At a larger company you might try employee relations or try to somehow get in writing that he promised this to you. If he hasn't given it to you by now he may never, but maybe you could negotiate something else, like an additional vacation week. It's not money but it's something.

Was there a written agreement/contract? If not, your friend needs to show proof (which would be difficult unless there was a witness present when the boss said those words) that she/he did worked in the boss' absence and was not rewarded. You friend can file a charge against the boss with the Manpower office.

If you had a few witnesses that would be willing to back you up you may be able to pin him down for breach of verbal contract.
But most likely you don't have any case against him and he knows it.

Unfortunatley, heresay about pay raises doesnt hold up. Unless, it is in writing you dont have much of a case.

I would probably talk to him about it and then make sure i get paid. If he doesn't pay for the correct hours, then iw ould probably sue him. You can and i am sure that you will win.
