Well I'm not sure what you heard but some of the new dollar coins that the mint released accidently don't have any writing on them...if you find one, keep a hold of it! Might be worth something someday.

The new dollar coins have "In God We Trust" on the side.

Any rumor of it being removed is untrue.

It is on the edge of the coins. Approximately 10,000 were minted without this feature, they are worth about $50.00 each.
