Don't continue to do it if it does not make you happy. Follow your heart. Even if you have to go back to school, find something else that you know will make you happy. Money isn't everything. Happiness is.

Environments can change with people you work with so I would suggest sticking with it for a while the career anyway but find another dentist to work for it can make a big difference in how you feel about your work. I have been in medicine over 25 year and some places thrive on rudeness and aggravation others can be a cohesive environment where all work together for the common good.

I hear your frustration. First learn about yourself and what career best suits you. Life is a "beach",,just hang in there a little longer. I sent my daughter to college to be a nurse, cost me thousands. She didn't like it,,, after the first month she quit because she alomost got stuck with a HIV infected needle from a patient, the doctors are cruel sometimes.... S**t happens. She has now found another job in something she likes. Click on the link below to find what your real interest are by your Zodiac sign,,,,it really makes sense. Hope you the best of luck and I admire you for taking care of your son.

how long can you live a life you can't stand. It has taken me over 8 years to find the job i like. It was hard with all the job switching and pay changes but as of now it is worth it. Do what makes you happy.

don't waste the training you received! You spent good money on it so find a way to use that exp and skills to use it in anther way. There are a lot of nw medial careers poping up such as paralegal nursing. Look into that.

Get used to it, every career is like that. It seems like the more you make, the worse people treat you. The more you make, the more they expect and the more they own you.
You cant afford to hate it. Find a way to make it tollerable. Otherwise you'll destroy yourself.

I agree with most of the people. Try another dental office first. If you still hate then try something else. Good luck!

You have to figure out if it's the WORK you hate, or the WORKPLACE you hate.
If it's the WORKPLACE, you hate, you can go somewhere else.
However, if it's the WORK you hate, then you may need to find a new career. That's much harder.
