Well I suppose you could try putting in a couple of frogs. African Dwarfs have a very good breast-stroke and may be able to teach it! Or you could try holding a bloodworm in front of it and moving it slowly away! It will then follow it!
Good luck with the training but don't be too disheartened if it takes a while! Fish are not high on the intelligence scale!

Lots of fish will swim upside down when feeding.
And upsidedown fish do it anyway.
You may have fish with internal bacteria visit your pets shop and ask for advice

Fish have very limited intellect. They can't be trained. At best, they respond instinctively.

Yeh, of course he can be trained, why dont you just get in there and teach him, dont embaress yourself by getting some-one else to do it.
