Harry Potter with the baby sitter's club as a close second. I had all of those books when I was in grade school

I don't know. I guess it's tie between Narnia and Harry Potter. The Bible is pretty close behind that. I hated the Babysitters club.

For fun, Harry Potter of course.
For references, the Bible.

i read the bible everynight but it is more for spiritual and historical reasons, not really because it captivates my attention as a well-told story.
my favorite is harry potter, i reread it all the time. my fav. book so far is number 5.
i also love chronicles of narnia. my favorites from narnia would probably be horse and his boy and the voyage of the dawn treader.

to sit down and read...i like the harry potter books (i'm reading the 6th one for the first time and am excited for the seventh) but when i'm having a bad day, i love to open my bible and read comforting passages...my favorite verse is Ecclesiastes 4:10
"If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!"
