I have a 2001 Chrysler Voyager 2.4L. The check engine light came on, so I used my code reader to figure out why. Code P0301 cylinder one misfire is what came up.
What does that mean, and how can I fix it?

HOOAH!

It means cylinder 1 has/had a misfire.

Why?

Lots of possible reasons. Bad spark plug, bad spark plug wire, bad coil, bad injector, sticking valve, coolant leak from a blown head gasket, etc.

Step 1

Replace the spark plugs and wires. This is always step 1 with a misfire. Once you have done that, clear the code and see if it comes back. If it doesn't, you got it. If it does, check the rest of the list.

frequently the uncomplicated way is swap areas from a solid cylinder, flow coil, cord and plug from a cylinder it particularly is working wisely and not the better half in case you have waste spark kind ignition(your coil in all probability is going to 2 cylinders that's what's talked approximately as a much better half cylinder). be careful do not eliminate spark plugs from a warm aluminum cylinder head or you are able to pull out the threads.

Call your local dealer. I hear that this is very common in Chrysler mini vans. They can tell you what it means and what it will take to repair.
