In 5 billion years the Sun will turn into a Red Giant and the Earth will vaporize just before it is engulfed by the Sun's expansion. Somehow, we're half way through, as our Sun was formed 5 billion years ago too.

Well as scary as it sounds the sun will not evolve at all in a few million years it will explode destroying Earth and everything in our solar system. now people are trying to find out new planets in another solarsystem that containes or can have life. Most of this is because of our pollution if we don't stop pollution the Earth will be destroyed before the sun even explodes. i know this is very scary but it CAN happen

The Sun will eventually develop into a Red Giant, and engulf the Earth. I wouldn't worry about it, it's a way off. Maybe a few billion years?

Some theorize that there will be a supernova explosion which will blow away all Earth's atmosphere, and then the Sun will expand to swallow the Earth up. Almost everyone places these events in the far distant future.

Not sure what you mean when you say "evolves" but as the sun ages, it will eventually expand and eventually swallow the earth. This won't happen for millions or billions of years but as stars "die", they expand to many times their original size.

At some point, the sun will expand to be bigger than Earth's orbit, and the earth will be gone.
