I'd like to know if there are statistics on how much paper is wasted every year by bank customers who still receive paper statements via snail-mail versus electonic statements?

There are no statistics to track this sort of thing at least not in a scientific manner. It would be too complex to estimate how many pages each person gets, then determine how many recycle the paper they get and how much ends up in landfills. You could try to look up some environmental conservation groups to see if they have some guesstimates on the matter.

Plenty but you've already know there is no statistics on this. However, banks are working towards environmental friendly giving customers the option if they still want the hard-copy of their Statement or via electronic. Now it is the customers who need to be educated on being environmental friendly.

I recycle my statements, so I waste zero.
